Recovery and Red Wings

As most of you will remember, two weeks ago I had the misfortune of severely spraining my ankle. I know, I know pro status right there. Well, it's been a slow and frustrating healing process. The pain went away rather quickly, however, the obnoxious swelling still tends to make random appearances. And by random, I mean the most in opportune times. Through this wonderful adventure, I've found I'm more of an active person than I realized. I shockingly like working out/exercising which obviously I've been unable to do for the last two weeks..... Add to that being incredible bummed that I've now missed two weeks of dodge-ball. Yes, I am in a dodge-ball league and your argument is invalid.

Who wouldn't love taking Monday's frustration out in a game of dodge-ball with the added bonus of doing it on some trampolines?

Needless to say I've been antsy as well as trying not to binge eat from boredom.

So all this downtime hasn't been the greatest for me whether it be making baked goods or just sitting doing nothing. Thankfully, I have a pretty awesome brother. He managed to get tickets to a Red Wings game on Tuesday and brought my wrap and spare clothes to change into. It was just what I needed to get out of the string of bored nights. What cold be better than road tripping to Detroit with your brother listen to classic rock? Not much. Scratch that nothing.
Now road trip are not always the best for someone who has been trying to eat extremely healthy (ok healthier than I had been aka no sweets) from lack of working out... since we all know fast food is almost always involved.

Thank goodness for Fat Fighters!

Sorry McD's you didn't win this round. I got to enjoy splurging and great conversations with my brother. All that while 70% of your delicious carbs that I love in the form of your addicting french fries and 30% of your tasty fat in the form of that amazing sweet and sour sauce were defeated by my Fat Fighters. Haha I may or may not have a strange weakness for McD's french fries dipped in sweet and sour sauce. Don't knock it till you've tried it.
*insert karate chop and the designated sound affects*

Score one for Ali for once. I know lots of people say you should never feel guilty about what you are eating. Well, for some it isn't that easy like me. I can honestly say Fat Fighters give me that confidence to not second guess my choices. That makes all the difference to me.

Oh for those who are wondering about the Red Wings game: we did end up losing. It was a fantastic game regardless though. It was tough fought all the way to overtime; we did managed to secure a point out of the game.
